First Soap made of the year

Here’s my first soap made for 2016! Handmade soap cold process method. Cucumber mint with coconut milk. Looks nice and creamy. I am going back to work next Monday, so my soaping times will be only on the weekends.

Making Gift Sets

Making gift sets are always fun to make. I have created a gift set for some of my co-workers, she wanted to gift her children’s teachers. I added a handmade soap, lip balm, bath bomb and a wash cloth. I created a bag topper in microsoft word, printed it out on a beige cardstock, folded into two and stapled onto a plastic cello packaging for the bath bombs. All the labels were created by me. I inserted all the products into a plastic bag and decorated it with a ribbon bow and some raffia.

Men Scented Handmade Soap

We can’t forget to make some masculine scented soaps. Here’s the one I made using cedarwood essential oil, orange sweet essential oil, sandalwood fragrance oil and gingergrass essential oil. I just love gingergrass, it has a smell off lemon and pepper. I named this soap Handsome Devil. I used activated charcoal and ultra marine blue as colorant.

My “Savon De Marseilles” Version

My version of “Savon de Marseilles” soap. Did some research on the ingredients of this traditional soap. They use 72% of Olive oil. So my recipe also contains 72% of olive oil , coconut oil and tallow. French green clay , benzoin gum powder and fragrance is Rice Flower. Simple soap but i am sure it will be awesome.
